It’s been a real long while since my last post! I love the Scott’s and I am so happy to finally share their photos from our shoot we did in Seattle! We went on a couples trip with them during the Spring and had a blast together! And we even managed to squeeze in a photo shoot during all of our fun! Love these people so much:)!

To show you how far behind I am on blog posts, Baby Cason is nearly 8 months now! I couldn’t resist posting this session first since Newborn Sessions are definitely at the top of my list of favorites to shoot. Cason was a little sweetheart. You might recognize his older brother from here, a family shoot we did just months before this little guy was born. Thanks Maren for trusting me to photograph your babies and family!

I really love the next three shots. I think they’re so sweet…and show life as it really is:)

A Bittersweet Morning

Ellah started kindergarten this morning!! She could hardly wait for this day to come and this morning it finally arrived. She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face last night just knowing she would be a big kindergartener in less than a day. She even woke up at 5:15am asking if it was time to get ready for school yet (let’s hope she keeps this enthusiasm!). I can’t help but be excited and overjoyed for my baby. But I have to be honest, a big part of me has been dreading this day for the entire summer! Ellah has been my little buddy the past 5 1/2 years. We play together, go to lunch and movies together, run errands together all day and every day. The house is quiet, much too quiet, when she is gone. I am grateful that she was so excited for this day because I can’t help but be excited for her. This morning Brian and I took her to her first day of school. We sat with her on the playground until the school bell rang. I thought I was doing just fine. She was nervous and wanted to sit with us and I was happy because it meant I could hug her a few minutes longer. Then the teacher called the kids to class and told them to say goodbye to their parents. I was fighting back the tears as best I could. We waved goodbye and Brian dropped me off at home. The minute I walked in the door I was bawling. I love my little Ellah Lu! I am excited to volunteer in her class this year and hear about all the new things she is learning and about the friends she makes! Kindergarten starts a new chapter in our lives!

A couple of months ago I did a little shoot of Ellah. To convince her, it all had to be done under her terms. She got to pick the clothes, props and of course the poses…

Roman was as sweet as can be! I was especially happy when asked to do his newborn portraits because Roman’s dad is my first cousin. Jeremiah and Jessica make the most adorable parents for handsome little Roman!

You might remember Brandon and Kaitlyn from their engagement photos last June. I felt honored to be able to be able to photograph their wedding as well! The two were married last September at the beautiful Villa Siena. Brandon and Kaitlyn looked breathtaking and the decor with lime green and black & white accents was stunning! There was lots and lots of dancing, laughing, smiling and a few tears of joy. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect and pleasant for such a charming couple.

Love the Bloomers! Maren is our hair stylist and Brian, Ellah and I just love her! Every time we go to get our hair done, Ellah leaves with a super cute updo. She adores Maren. I’m so happy that I had a chance to photograph her little family this past Fall. Since this session Maren has had her baby and I have pictures to share of her new little babe soon!

I have really been slacking on my blog posts lately! I have so many fun photo shoots to share too! Like it is for everyone, it seems that even with a break time gets filled so quickly with other things! The past couple of weeks have been really nice. I had a chance to go to WPPI in Las Vegas with Brian. I could hardly wait to go to the trade show to see all of the vendors and their products! It was great! Now, I’m super excited for all the new goods I will be starting to offer to my clients…frames, albums, props and more! I miss my clients and I’m looking forward to working with you again come May!

Now on to the beautiful Hardin family. I have really enjoyed getting to know Deena and her children over the past couple of years! They have so much spunk! Not to mention, Deena is always so creative and incredibly organized with every photo shoot we’ve done for her family! Also, if you ever need an event planner, you’ll have to check out Denna’s work at Elegant Occasions. She is amazing to work with and super likable, I would recommend her to anyone! Our shoot together this last fall was so much fun! Brianna takes horse
back riding lessons so we decided to do the shoot at her stable!

I adored my session with these kids last Fall! Their family was so pleasant to be with. I just love it when my clients bring fun props. The Walls brought along tea sets, bubbles, trikes, books, vintage toys…it was great!!
